Cheap Life Insurance Q&A Part 3

cheap life insuranceCan I get cheap life insurance for $200,000 or more?

Yes, depending on your health you may be able to get much higher limits than you think, at affordable rates.

Term life insurance offers the most affordable option for many people. Term life insurance provides protection for a specific number of years - usually 10, 15, 20 or 30 years. There is no cash value that builds up within the policy as you pay only for the life insurance protection.

Aflac makes the process easy and there's no obligation. We'll help you choose a policy and then you answer some health-related questions to receive an instant quote for affordable term life insurance.

What is a cheap life insurance for a cigarette smoker?

It depends on age, the amount of benefit and the term of the policy. Also, if you are looking for term or Whole Life. For a smoker I would suggest a 10 yr term policy for $150,000. It may cost you around $2,000 - $3,000 per year. If you quit smoking for 1 year your premium will decrease by half or more. I would then have the policy rewritten with the highest available term policy... 30 years if you can. Your premium will stay level for that time.

Where can I get Affordable Life Insurance?

Meet with a local life insurance agent. You can find one in this directory tool: http://www.insuremylife.org. They will help you determine how much coverage is needed. Then you can discuss the different types of coverage to create a plan that is affordable and right for you. And once again appear in the San Diego area, you can contact me and I'll be happy to help you.

Also check out Live Insurance Advisors. Dozens of companies are available. You can run instant quotes for term insurance on the website. If permanent insurance is what you need, I can run the numbers for you.

For affordable coverage, term is the best option for you. If you are looking to cover your family at a low amount, term insurance is a good choice. You can get several quotes at once from Reliaquote.

Start with a good agent. Find someone locally that you can develop a relationship. They will help you with all your insurance needs.

You first need to decided if you need term, whole life or a mixture. You'll need to decide how much cheap life insurance you need, then an agent can work with you to design a package you can afford.

If you are only looking for small amounts (i.e. $10,000 or so), I see these type offers with my credit cards, AARP, AAA and assorted other organizations. In most cases they are guaranteed issue and no physical required).

Is it possible to get cheap life insurance and dental insurance if I am not employed? If so, roughly how much money would this cost per month?

Well, when you're not employed and nothing is really affordable, right? So, cheap life insurance depends on your age and health. If you're healthy and 30, you can get 20 year term, $250,000 for about $150 a year. Life insurance is not based upon whether you have a job or not, but it is based upon your income in your needs (i.e. your mortgage).

Private dental insurance is different, though. I'd recommend you check out my article on dental insurance plans. Once you do, you'll find the Aflac offers a great dental plan at a very reasonable rate.

We have a new baby and we both need to be insured. Is it possible to purchase cheap life insurance without a physical exam?

Of course all insurance companies are different but you will find that all of them will offer something similar to this. Generally you can purchase up to $150,000 of term life without exam if you can answer no to five health questions and have proof of a mortgage. If you don't have proof of the mortgage you can generally get up to $100,000. Next, what do you consider affordable ? Rates are based upon your age, past illnesses, injuries, tobacco status, etc.

And now, please don't take this the wrong way, but I have found that a lot of people that are specifically looking for life-insurance without an exam are concerned about a condition that they are suffering from and their intent is to lie on application. Whatever you do, do not lie on application. If you leave something out of your application that could adversely affect the company's decision, this is called "concealment" and at the very least, it will void your policy and might even result in large fines and jail time.

I want to buy some life insurance for my dad. He is 59 years old and is a stroke victim. He doesn't live with me he lives in an assisted living facility. Is there a cheap life insurance policy that I can buy for him? I tried Globe Life but they rejected him due to his history of stroke and high blood pressure. I am trying to find something that is very cheap because I will have to be paying for this myself along with my own personal bills.

I am sorry to hear about your father's circumstances. I know you want the most affordable coverage out there, but it may be next to impossible to find something you would consider affordable.

Life insurance companies are out to make money, like all businesses but there are some that offer guaranteed life insurance coverage.

The drawback is, the rates may seem high and the coverage is limited, at least for the first year or two. If I were you, I would seriously consider taking the money you would pay a monthly basis and invest it on the side so that when your father does pass on, you will have the money to pay for his funeral expenses and anything else the need to pay.

In addition, learn from your father's mistake and purchase a policy for yourself right now. If you a policy for yourself right now, your payments will be extremely low since I'm assuming you are relatively young and in good health. Even waiting one month can be a risk because if you are diagnosed with a medical conditions such as diabetes, you will most likely become uninsurable just as your father is right now.

You can learn more about this coverage and get a quote by contacting me if you are in California or by visiting Aflac to find the agent nearest you.

I hope that helps! Take care and best of luck to you and your father in the New Year.
